(I Hear It was charged Against Me and Crossing Brooklyn Ferry and I Hear America Singing all come to mind.) It is perhaps not institutions you are attacking, "not edifices or rules or trustees or any argument," but you too wish to "establish in Manhahatta and in every city of these States. . .the institution of the dear love of comrades" as in the tradition of the American ideal of the Common Man. There is in the end little difference between a Communist state and a well kept and inhibited Capitalist ruling if the result is an inverted and 'democratic' fraternity which becomes a matter of deference to whosoever holds the sceptre of power or wealth and can throw people in or out of storage bins with turns of the screw.
